A collaborative project between Allegra Cortese and I for our Design Studio course.
Each group was assigned a wardrobe stapel that they had to create a look inspured from, while staying true to the original codes so that it remains recognisable.
Our duo’s archetype was the biker jacket. From research and inspiration on punk rock groupies and Moto GP uniforms, we created a colour-blocked oversized biker jacket with trouser. In addition, we created a mesh set printed with analogue black and white photos we took and developed with guidance from Fionn O’Toole.
We also created additional styling pieces including a black panelled skirt and a leather ‘glove‘ harness.
