A collaborative company project with Paris based company, The Kooples.
The project brief was to create a look based on the contents of bag containing a random collection of deadstock garments from The Kooples from a 2013 collection.
I approached the concept of upcycling by deconstructing garments and sewing panels of black different textured black fabrics to create a new ‘fabric’ to then cut a patterns out of.
The up-cycled look was inspired by the notions of siblinghood and hand-me-downs, and the idea of wearing ill fitted clothes of an older sibling but having to make it more ‘cool‘ by making DIY alterations.
